hello, new friend!

finding a new friend is like discovering a new cafe – exciting, promising and extremely enjoyable.

and getting to meet lovely people like pearlly is one of the best things that has happened to me recently.

pretty, confident, eloquent and someone with great ideas, values and opinions, she truly epitomizes the best of modern women – something i really admire and want to learn from.

though there was some misunderstanding when we first got to know each other, i’m so glad everything was cleared up and now we got to meet up before she leaves for arizona to stay with her boyfriend.

and there’s no other place better than drips bakery for such a happy occasion.

though i couldnt find my way there in time and had to take a cab, turns out the cafe is actually quite accessible from a bus stop at the main road.

and though food options are limited, the desserts the cafe serves are pretty awesome.

while my strawberry and fig tart is generous with their fresh fruits, pearlly’s egg tart tastes of fresh, smooth egg.

so we spent the afternoon chatting about practically everything under the sun, from gymming to teaching, from marriage to atrocious kids, from flying to investing, from travelling to cooking…

aww man, that’s quite a lot to talk about within the three hours we spent together eh!

i feel very lucky that we’ve managed to pull this off (and actually enjoyed myself very much), despite various last-minute changes to our schedules (mostly from my side, hee).

and to think that we only met that ONCE long, long time ago when we attended our boyfriends’ something-or-other dinner in perth, hahaha.

i believe this world is still full of many, many wonderful friends like that, waiting to be found and learned from.

so yap, time to step out and DISCOVER them, go go go!!!
