project #9 (part III)

it all began with a half-price swensen’s voucher, which brought us to holland v even when it was raining so badly that orchard became flooded again.

i ruined my own long-awaited swensen’s treat. though i stuck with the familiar 49ers sourdough sandwich set – i ordered teriyaki beef rather than the usual chicken cutlet.

so much sauce i could put it on my face for facial TWICE, and still have left over.

not like i will do such a thing but my brain is too dead for a more apt analogy.

so i decided to go to ikea after lunch because i needed stuff for my room.

and being bffs, of course everyone accompanied me there, even if it was STILL raining cats and dogs and everywhere was filled with dirty water.

even keryeong who had his internship report to rush and thus, had to steal whatever time he had while waiting for food / traveling on the bus to do it.

but of course despite the numerous difficulties we faced making the trip, it was more than worth it.

WE ALL TOTALLY LOVEEEEEE IKEA, DONT WE?

ikea has cute little trolleys (as opposed to big, clumsy ones in the supermarkets).

big ganchiong spiders for us to laugh at.

desks fit for a boss.

classroom clocks to help you with the mind-boggling concept of time difference.

colourful flowers that seem to be smiling at you from afar.

multi-racial toy rats living in harmony.

new weapons for pillow fight.

fitting accessories that brighten up your outfit (if you can FINALLY figure out how to wear them).

and friends with a big heart just like you!!!

didnt manage to have tea at the cafe as planned because of the sunday crowd but…

i got what i needed for my room.

not enough though.

didnt do my calculations properly so i realised that i was short of photo frames and boxes and had to return for more. i also kept thinking about some curtain fabric that i saw, so i wanted to go back to have a look.

since vincent was at home when i was preparing to leave for ikea, i asked him to join me so that i could give him an early birthday treat.

poor nemo looked on with sorrowful eyes, wishing he could join us too.

isnt he supposed to be a growing boy? he opted for the kid’s meal and even then, was too full for the popular hotdog bun.

weird.

what i was eying on but unfortunately, it requires more work that i thought so i decided to forgo it for now.

pretty flowers at an insanely low price of 90 cents each. really tempted me to buy more but i knew i wouldnt want so many of them lying around collecting dust.

yayness, more frames and boxes for my room now.

and if you think i was finally done, i’m sorry to say, no, i was NOT! i was STILL short of frames when i got home and counted the photos again.

so i went to ikea again today, for the THIRD time this week, specially for photo frames only. my god, i should totally become their member or something.

siansation.

yeah i know, i’ve learnt my lesson now. i shall be less careless and lazy and really make a proper shopping list the next time i have to buy a lot of things.

but i’ve remembered to bring my own bag to carry my stuff this time, so it’s a good step towards being a more sensible (and environmentally responsible) shopper.

so after all this hard work, i finally put together…

my very own wall of FRAMES!!!

HAHAHAHAHA.

eek…look kinda crooked eh?

i had to ask my father and brother to help me hammer in the nails and they didnt really do a consistent job. of course i didnt draw my markings very nicely either.

and then some of the frames also couldnt anchor on the nails properly because the latter were too… protruding, if you know what i mean.

ahh well…never mind, at least they are up now. my enthusiasm is kinda running out already, hahaha.

oh and i know what you are wondering about now. why are there only photos of my family and boyfriend there? dont my friends deserve some space, dont they play a huge role in my life too?

OF COURSE THEY DO!!!

which is why i have this…

specially reserved for them.

i already have a new MAJOR project in mind just for this, but that would have to come in later (no it’s not part of TAKE*5).

oh well…that’s all for now.

all the fun and excitement over the last few days have totally worn me out and there is so much more waiting for me ahead.
