it was a rather spontaneous thing. within an hour or two, the details were fixed and we met the very next day for lunch.
chorp, chorp, curry pok. i like, hahaha.
finally, finally got to sit in at food for thought at queen’s street, of which ambience is much better than that at new bridge road.
and they have really nice placemats too. trivial, i know, hahahaha.
the place kinda stinks the way air-conditioned food courts do, which i really dislike. the service was alright this time, though i still saw the unfriendly indian waiter which made me a little unhappy (he didnt serve us though).
but having the girls to eat brunch with me made up for everything!!!
my hearty breakfast set.
the bread was surprisingly soft and fluffy and tasted heavenly with the scrambled egg. yes i’m easy to please like that.
the salad, on the other hand, didnt have enough dressing so it was not easy on the palate and i couldnt finish it. the hash brown balls were erm…unique but i still prefer the conventional kind. these were a little too compact in terms of texture and you couldnt really taste the potato.
oh well, all in all, the breakfast sets at food for thought are quite satisfying and filling. i didnt eat anything since then and wasnt even hungry when i had dinner at eight in the evening. but then again, i LOVE breakfast sets so i might be biased.
so jannelle, amantha and i proceeded to cathay to catch up over coffee after our meal.
we had fun conversations about erm…elections (yes again, though the girls cant vote yet, that’s how young they are, damn it!), mobile phones, school and relationships before jannelle and i got distracted by…
tap zoo is serious business, you know. or was i playing doodle jump?
oh such fun.
no we didnt plan to have the same expressions. we are just connected like that. hahahaha.
ahh…though it was a short, simple gathering, i had such a great time with the girls. i can so totally do this everyday.
